Homestay
WLCNZ offers a homestay service, where you will live with friendly New Zealand KIWI families. You will have an opportunity to speak English in a natural environment. Homestay families are carefully selected. They will ensure you feel welcome and help you enjoy the wonderful life in New Zealand. Homestay accommodation includes morning and evening meals from Monday to Friday and all meals on weekends and public holidays.

Hostels
Hostels provide you with a room in a building you share with a lot of people. Bathrooms and toilets are usually shared and you cook your own food in the kitchen facilities provided. This type of accommodation is not always available

Apartments or flats
These are like small homes but you share with 2-5 other students. Students also have to cook their own meals and help with the housekeeping. This is the best for students who have been in NZ long enough to know how to shop, paying bills etc.

Motels
These are usually for short stays because they are quite expensive. The rooms are the same as hotel rooms and include a bathroom, a kitchen or some kitchen equipment (microwave, toaster and cutlery).

Booking
WLCNZ can book accommodation for you or you can book a motel or hostel on the internet. When booking, you need to give your arrival date and time, the number of nights you are staying and the number of people staying. You also need to give your full name, email address and credit card type and number. You have to cancel 24-48 hours before your booking time or you will be charged accommodation for one night. Motels have a choice of smoking or non-smoking rooms.
